Go back to the beginning . . . and take a different road.

John never married Mary, Dean never became a hunter, Sam never had a father. While Dean grows up in a typical loving family, Sam is raised as a guerilla hunter cut off from normal society. They are thrown together for the first time when the yellow-eyed demon attacks Dean's family. Dean abandons his life as a college student and musician and takes to the road with Sam.

Now they are fighting side by side, searching for the demon that killed their mothers and trying to save John.



This is the official community for the fanfiction serial "The Song Remains The Same" by fanspired. All promotions and updates for the serial will eventually be posted here, though I also post as fanspired on Archive Of Our Own and fanfiction.net

Warning Policy

The serial contains adult material and is intended for readers aged 18 and over. Incidents of violence are rarely worse than the show but Supernatural is, in its origins, a horror story and inherently unsafe. There are explicit sex scenes which are rarely particularly dark or shocking by the standards of this fandom. I try to warn for obvious things but I'm no expert so, if you have specific warning needs, feel free to contact me and ask.


That said, I warmly welcome you to the road trip. Comments are especially encouraged. Reviews are my pie, so please feed me :) Members are welcome to post relevant material such as serial related art, pic-spams, song-spams, poetry/song-lyrics or discussion posts etc if they feel so inclined. I've already been blessed with a number of wonderful artworks for the serial and I'll be adding a masterpost for those to this profile in due course. And I'm always fascinated to read discussion about the story and characters, though I reserve the right to neither confirm nor deny reader speculation :P
