I just installed KDE Neon 6.2 on my MSI Laptop which has an Nvidia 1660Ti GPU in it, but it seems like my KDE Neon system isn't detecting and using my Nvidia GPU.

I switched from CachyOS and my Nvidia GPU worked perfectly there earlier today. So I know it's something specific to my KDE Neon setup.

If I check my Mission Center app, then only my iGPU is showing and my dedicated GPU is just missing:

What can I do to get my Nvidia GPU working? What is the recommended steps for KDE Neon?

Since KDE Neon is based on Ubuntu, I eventually discovered that this is the steps to get the Nvidia GPU working on KDE Neon:

  1. Open Konsole (Ctrl+Alt+T)
  2. Run sudo ubuntu-drivers install in Konsole
  3. Restart Computer

And that's it. This worked for me. Now my Nvidia GPU is seen and it appears in Mission Center:
