Problem
I am experiencing something very odd on Xubuntu 24.04.3 LTS x86_64 with Xfce 4.18.
It seems that if I ever reduce the scale of one of my screens, as in the GUI below,
then my mouse pointing on the other screen will flicker.
Restoring to the previous configuration 
immediately makes the problem go away.

I used that years ago and I remember it breaking things once I installed a second monitor.
I do not use xserver-xorg-video-intel.
The issue seems reduced if I disable display compositing.
