Ive been trying to add or replace my list of disavows to Google Search Console (GSC), but always getting an error message saying:

Oops, something went wrong, please try again later.

Is this happening to you lately or it is just me?

The most common cause for this error is that the property is a domain property (e.g. example.com) rather than a prefix property (such as https://www.example.com).

Google aren't very helpful in explaining that you can only upload disavow files for prefix properties and not domain properties. This has been repeatedly discussed on the official support forum, but they haven't added a clear note to the actual form which would be helpful. https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/290925565/disavow-links-error-message?hl=en

Thankfully, you can have both domain and prefix properties in the same account, and with the domain property already verified, you should have no difficulty getting the prefix property sorted.
