Task description
The role of the secretary is defined in section 7 of the Debian Constitution. In simple terms, it's to:
- Run votes
- Rule on interpretation of the constitution
- Stand in for the DPL with the chair of the Tech Committee if there's no DPL
- Delegate part or all of their authority to someone else
Additionally, the secretary is not a delegate, but an appointed position, which must be re-appointed each year by the DPL and the current secretary.
