COMMUNITY GIVING

Helping Our Neighbors

Giving Back to Our Local Community

The Laboratory strives to be a good neighbor within its community, offering a wide variety of activities to enhance science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education. In addition, students of all ages benefit from training programs Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) has established.

Outreach does not stop with education — each year LLNL staff and Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC donate more than $3 million to local nonprofits, while hundreds of employees donate their time to local service agencies.

Since 1974, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Helping Others More Effectively (HOME) Campaign has provided employees with the opportunity to donate to their favorite nonprofits via payroll deduction.

LLNL Giving Pathways

LLNL Giving Pathways expands the Lab's philanthropic reach and impact by introducing multiple ways for employees to give throughout the year in addition to the fall HOME campaign.

The Open Match Giving Campaign allows employees to donate to any 501(c)(3) organization with a match from LLNS, while targeted donation drives provide rapid response for urgent community needs and current events, such as disaster relief.
