SEM-001[edit | edit source]
Major motherboard revision, this revision saw the loss of PS2 backwards compatibility, by removing the PS2 Graphics Synthesizer (the Emotion Engine chip and Rambus memory were already removed in the previous revision),two USB ports were also removed along with the card reader. This is the first motherboard to use a 65nm Cell Broadband Engine CPU, which reduced power consumption and heat output.
