I am using SSMS 19.1.56.0. When I press ALT+F 'File' is selected, but the menu does not open as with other 'ALT+' combinations. I have checked for other shortcuts being assigned to that key combination, but no luck finding anything. Has anyone had this behavior? Any ideas to fix?

  • I can't replicate your problem in SSMS 20.2. Do you have the same issue in other applications? Commented Apr 16 at 14:10

  • Have you tried updating? You're running an old version of SSMS (both an outdated minor and major release). Commented Apr 16 at 17:12

Regretfully....I upgraded to SSMS 20
