This doesn't work:

I can't demonstrate on show.tiki.org because SEFURL is not working there

Solution

use some supported tiki version such as Tiki21 or newer.
The link in dev.t.o works as expected with the new slideshow system. Therefore, closing the bug report as "out of date" (and currently "works for me", ...)
