I see fragments of pop up menus, stuck in spacetime and I find no other way than to restart Emacs.

Sometimes, they just go away by themselves.

Do we have some reset frame command, that works?;)

I'm using Emacs-30 on Xorg on NixOS-24.11 (XMonad)

Can you provide a screenshot? Is Emacs the only application that exhibits the problem? Is it long standing or did it start recently? Are you sure it's not a problem with your physical display? Commented Feb 12 at 3:02
  • Yes, I've only seen this with Emacs. I've seen it for a few months. I'm on NixOS-24.11 Commented Feb 20 at 19:52

I've found there is a workaround - it is possible to open a new window (Cmd-N on OSX) and to close the old one. Stucked menu will be closed with the old window.
