- Blender 3.6.9
- Mac 12.7.4]*
In the 3D viewport, when I use the Walk/Fly navigation (⇧ Shift + ² ) and rotate too much, my mouse cursor escapes the window. For instance, when I turn too far to the right, the cursor goes on my second screen and escapes the Blender window.
Steps :
- I activate the Walk/Fly mode with ⇧ Shift + ²
- I rotate "too far" (e.g. I turn 360° in the viewport)
- I want to stop the Walk/Fly mode by left-clicking
- It doesn't work because my mouse cursor has moved outside of Blender window, while it should stay on the viewport if there was no issue
- If put back my mouse on the viewport, the Walk/Fly mode continues as nothing happened.
I've used previous versions of Blender : Blender 3.0 and 3.4.1 did not have this issue, and I'm currently in 3.6.9. I checked online if people had the same issue, but none of them have got answers.
I eventually stumbled across a Blender-developer page "Fix T102346: Mouse escapes window during walk navigation". Not sure if this helps me since it was code from Blender with some modifications added to it (do I have to modify the source-code manually ?)
NB : If the mouse cursor doesn't leave the Blender window, nor goes on the hotbar (bottom edge of the screen where it shows apps and leave Blender window), then the cursor actually comes back to the center normally. The bugs only happen when the cursor quits the Blender window and not when it quits the viewport window
