• GitHub Code Quality in public preview: turn every pull request into an opportunity to improve! With in-context findings, one-click Copilot fixes, and reliability and maintainability scores, you spend less time chasing nits and more time building.
• Mission Control to assign, steer, and track Copilot coding agent tasks: We've completely redesigned how you assign, steer, and track Copilot coding agent tasks on github.com. Instead of tab-hopping to monitor progress or digging through PR comments to guide work, everything you need now lives in one centralized, real-time view.
• New public preview features in Copilot code review: AI reviews that see the full picture: Copilot's code review (CCR) now combines LLM detections, agentic tool calling, and deterministic engines like ESLint and CodeQL. This allows the AI reviewer to understand the entire codebase, identify critical issues, and provide fixes directly to the Copilot coding agent, resulting in collaborative, trustworthy, and fast reviews.

🌍 Copilot, Everywhere You Work

• Work Everywhere: Copilot Integrations for Linear, Teams & Slack: Copilot coding agent now plugs into the tools you already live in—Linear for issue tracking, Teams and Slack for chat-based delegation. Assign work where it starts, track progress in context, and let Copilot handle the GitHub heavy lifting in the background.
• Copilot usage metrics dashboard and API in public preview: The AI era of software development isn’t about asking are teams using AI, but rather how well are they using it? The GitHub Copilot usage metrics dashboard and API, now in public preview for GitHub Enterprise customers using Copilot, helps you answer that question with data.
• Private Infra Ready: Copilot Coding Agent + Your Self-Hosted Runners (Public Preview): Copilot coding agent can now run its development environment on your own infrastructure using self-hosted GitHub Actions runners managed by Actions Runner Controller (ARC).
• Custom agents for GitHub Copilot: Custom agents for GitHub Copilot make it easy for users and organizations to specialize their Copilot coding agent (CCA) through simple, file-based configurations.
• Enterprise AI controls & the agent control plane are now in public preview: a suite of enterprise governance features designed to give organizations deeper control over how agents operate across their environments with increased auditability and enterprise-ready custom agents!
• Managing Copilot Business in enterprise is now generally available: Enterprise owners with GitHub Enterprise Cloud can assign Copilot Business licenses inside an enterprise account independent of granting any organizational access. This experience provides a flexible, more scalable Copilot Business licensing model to enterprises without requiring a GitHub Enterprise Cloud license per user.

🔐 Secure & Govern at Scale

• Introducing extended metadata checks for secret scanning: To help you understand ownership and impact of a leaked secret, GitHub secret scanning now surfaces additional metadata for supported secret types.
• Custom images for GitHub-hosted runners are now available in public preview: Custom images for GitHub-hosted runners allows you to start with a GitHub-curated base image and build your own virtual machine image tailored to your workflow needs.
• Home dashboard update [Public preview feedback]: We made improvements to the content and layout of the home dashboard, designed to enable users to see, understand, and take action on their most important work in a single view. The default view of the home dashboard now displays short, customizable lists of recent agent tasks, pull requests, and issues.
