Apr. 18th, 2024 02:43 pmMinus two teeth (I don't think I ever posted about this; back in October, was riding my bike, got bullied off the road by an asshole who watched me faceplant the pavement, laughed, flipped me off and drove away - broke one canine tooth off completely beneath the gumline and badly fractured the front tooth next to it, so those both got surgically removed yesterday and I get a permanent bridge fitted and put in once it's healed up), but alive, yes.
Not doing much lately, as might be expected - being caretaker to both parents takes up a shitload of time, and before you even think it, mum, I don't mind doing it at all so no it is not a hardship. >:| Still streaming, though, when I can get around to it, and will be trying to get back on a schedule for that because I really need to fundraise so I can pay the parents back for all these toothly shenanigans. In my defence not a whole lot has happened really. Still been streaming (finally getting back on a regular schedule), went on anxiety meds again because that is A Thing and discovered in the process I quite enjoy horror games when I'm not a mass of ack, quite tragically lost a cat several months back to an apparent stroke, aneurysm, heart attack, who knows (and then we took in a very ill Siamese who we were not told was ill, who we had only two weeks with before he got so bad off he had to be put down), took in another Siamese last month who is female and thankfully the picture of health, and have been doing a lot of vidya gaem (I own Warriors Orochi 4 now and yep, it's eeting my soul) and learning to design vtuber models. I also now act as a cantor at church sometimes, which is good as one of the other cantors quit attending our church because...who even knows what happened, really, so we were actually in need of another and I apparently fill that role pretty admirably. I also still cook, bake and sew. The usual.

I exist, I promise. I'm just mostly on Twitter these days (Lucien_Lowell) and even that can be somewhat sporadic. Bleurgh.
I need to start making an effort to get back to updating here, but in the meantime, I'm alive, I'm well (mostly - brainweasels really like to take their turns gnawing at me these days), I'm still streaming three days a week, I'm still playing FFXIV, the like. Life as per the very usual.
Might go ahead and do a thought dump about those brainweasels though. They're vicious fuckers.
(Oh yeah, and I'm no longer engaged. It's fine honestly - we've found we make much better friends than we do partners and it wasn't really a huge shock. Such is life.)
