I could not possibly describe the issue any better than it is already described here: Images from i.sstatic.net only work for me after being accessed from another IP address [closed]

The question is closed as resolved, but it certainly isn't for me and for many other Stack Exchange users. This is how I see most questions and answers for a year now:

enter image description here

I could visit the same page from my mobile device that uses another ISP and the images would be instantly fixed accessing the page from the first PC, but now my mobile ISP has same issues:

enter image description here

Actually I am not even seeing the images I just uploaded myself in the preview of this very post:

When I try to access the image, I get this:

Using a proxy helps.

Sometimes they start to work, I suspect when another user near me accesses the same page and Cloudflare server serving the region gets unstuck somehow. This just happened with this very post and I can see images on it for some reason. But this might not happen for weeks and some posts remain broken for me.

I actually switched to a completely different ISP and still experience the problem. This probably means that Cloudflare services are just constantly failing for entire regions. I have since encountered many people experiencing same issue.

Yep, reproduced here on biology from the UK, but fine with VPN. In addition, it is intermittent, happens for hours, then right the moment of this post is just fine. I'll check again over time and add update-comments. Commented Apr 25 at 20:00

Oh, yeah, sure, that's not specific to one community, it's the same on all the types and flavors of Stack Exchange and Stack Overflow as well! It's broken on the entire network. Commented Apr 25 at 20:10
  • They're gone again. I'm seeing the images in this post as default error messages. When I try to upload an image to i.sstatic.net using the answer tools or just pasting there, the uploader works fine yielding: i.sstatic.net/AJ6OgIJ8.jpg , but the preview box won't display the image. (Image above is of an earlier post showing missing images and avatars but interestingly, gravatars show fine.). Commented Apr 28 at 12:18
  • In chat, on Charoal, all the avatars in the chat have disappeared, but the ones in the right-side panel - some are visible, some not.: i.sstatic.net/Tp2jzckJ.jpg Commented Apr 28 at 13:30
  • Oh. Now, 5 hours later, the images now show both on the main sites and chat. Commented Apr 28 at 18:56

I'm now observing a similar issue myself now; most images on most pages now are broken for me until I refresh the page... a refresh does seem to fix it for each page, for me, but it's still really odd. Commented Apr 29 at 15:03

The problem is even getting worse. Now the web proxies stopped working. It still sometimes loads from my mobile device with different ISP fixing the problem when accessing them from my PC as described, but mostly nothing works now. Most of the time there absolutely no way for me to see some images. I cannot use the functionality of Stack Exchange. I used to like answering questions in Blender Stack Exchange, but I can no longer be a part of that community any more. I cannot see images and that community is sort of more visual than most others. This is really unfortunate. Commented May 30 at 15:52

@MartynasŽiemys I feel you. I was among top contributors on Super User, but I've lost my spirit; especially after being gaslighted by a member of the Staff ("others on your ISP don't have any issues" while I know they do). Commented May 30 at 16:15

I don't care much about what people say and I did not loose my spirit, but it's simply impossible to answer questions in CG community without seeing posted images... There is absolutely nothing I can do any more if I don't see images. At least there was a workaround before, it's not working anymore. Commented May 30 at 16:37
