You may have noticed that I've stepped down as a moderator on Software Engineering. It actually went a couple of months ago, but I completely forgot to post this then, so I'm doing it now - better late than never!
It's something I've been thinking about for a while, for various reasons, but the main reason is that I'm hoping to retire from my job by the end of the year and as a result I won't have to sit at a computer all day every day so I won't have nearly as much "free" time to moderate. I have already reduced my moderation effort and it was a good time to "retire" from moderating as well.
I don't know how much time I'll be online in the future, but I will be around from time to time.
