A Russian drone strike hit central Lviv on Tuesday, March 24, injuring at least two people and damaging residential buildings, local officials said.
Lviv regional governor Maksym Kozytskyi said the attack struck the city center and may have affected a UNESCO-listed heritage area.

Mayor Andrii Sadovyi said a residential building was damaged in the strike, adding that emergency services were working at the scene.
Separately, explosions were reported in Ternopil, according to Mayor Taras Pastukh, who urged residents to remain in shelters.
In Lviv, Sadovyi later reported another drone strike hitting a residential building in the Sykhiv district, on Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue.
He added that a third location was recorded near the beginning of Bandera Street, where debris was found.
A 51-year-old woman suffered blast injuries to her lower limbs and was hospitalized in conscious condition, while another person sought medical help independently with minor injuries.
Officials also warned of an ongoing threat of further drone attacks and urged residents to remain in shelters.
The strike followed a large-scale Russian aerial attack overnight into Tuesday, involving drones and missiles.
Ukraine’s Air Force said it detected 426 aerial targets, including drones and various types of missiles. As of 9 a.m., air defenses had shot down or suppressed 390 of them, including 25 missiles and 365 drones.

- In Poltava region, two people were killed and 11 injured after residential buildings and a hotel were damaged.
- In Dnipro, a missile strike hit a residential building, injuring nine people, including a 1.5-year-old child.
- A suburban train on the Slatino-Kharkiv route was attacked by a drone, resulting in deaths and injuries.
Later in the day Ukrainian Air Forces reported that Kyiv was also effectively encircled by Russian drones. A large number of kamikaze drones – commonly known as “Shaheds” – have been detected over the capital and surrounding regions. Similar threats were reported in Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Kherson, and Mykolaiv.
