- Katy Abbaszadeh shared thisCat's out of the bag! Thrilled to share that I've joined Cursor to build out the Revenue Marketing function. 🚀 Massive thank you to everyone involved in the recruiting process... of course to the team within Cursor, but equally to the external folks who have provided support, guidance and references along the decision path (you know who you are and I appreciate you so much!) ❤️ I'm so excited and grateful for this opportunity and after being on the inside for just five days, I'm incredibly humbled by the talented group of builders that have come together for this insane ride. Special thank you to Jordan MacDonald, Patty Koenigs, Jordan Topoleski, Roman Ugarte, Brian McCarthy, Tido Carriero, Vibhav Joopelli, Tahirih Skolnik, Karl Oskar S., Jonathan Krangel, and Michael T. for the trust and partnership. Looking forward to full onboarding immersion next week with the newest Global GTM Leadership class 👏
- Katy Abbaszadeh shared thisAfter nearly four unforgettable years, I closed out my time at Glean this week. It’s been the privilege of my career to help build this rocket ship and to learn from an incredible, world-class team. I’m deeply grateful for the trust, the partnership, and the friendships formed along the way. Special thanks to Arvind for bringing me in and for continuously championing the Marketing org. What I’m most proud of: the builders’ spirit across Marketing and our GTM partners -- the way this team shows up for each other, turns ideas into impact, and keeps raising the bar. Thank you for the opportunity to grow with you. While this chapter ends, the gratitude and momentum continue. I’ll always be cheering for Glean and the amazing people behind it. Onward to new beginnings -- and to seeing many of you again down the road. 💙
- Katy Abbaszadeh shared thisJust wrapped our “Rewriting the Marketing Playbook with AI” webinar with Databricks—thanks to everyone who joined! Key takeaways: ✨ The squeeze is real: higher pipeline targets, longer cycles, flat budgets. Random AI pilots won’t fix it—AI must be a shared work layer grounded in enterprise context. ✨ Data + governance win: Databricks’ Marketing Lakehouse and Unity Catalog enabled trusted, governed access—accelerating onboarding, improving decision quality, and making AI usable at scale. ✨ Start with access to knowledge: Rolling out Glean Search and Assistant changed internal behavior—go to Glean first—then expand to agents that remove cognitive load and save hours weekly. ✨ Hackathons drive momentum: Cross-functional teams surfaced painful workflows (briefs, planning, approvals); most prototypes used Glean and moved fast because enterprise context was already connected. ✨ Favorite build: BriefBot—two-stage “Researcher → Writer” Glean agents that produce an 80%-complete campaign brief in ~5 minutes, grounded in Asana metadata, strategy docs, and brand guidelines. And we touched on a few ways Glean uses Glean: post-event recap agents that auto-compile Salesforce + chat + brief insights, SEO content chain (keywords → first draft → evaluator), and ABM research-to-content agents with AE-approved outputs. If you’re just getting started, do three things: 1) build the data foundation, 2) unlock enterprise knowledge, 3) pick low-effort, high-impact workflows (briefs, research synthesis, reporting). Then scale what works. Huge thanks to Samantha Sawyer, Paul V., and Weisi Kang for the practical playbook—and to Baptiste Pouilloux and Katy Yuan for the behind-the-scenes efforts to bring us together! 💥

- Katy Abbaszadeh posted thisI spend a lot of time talking about pipeline, programs, and revenue — but some of my favorite conversations happen when marketers come together just to think out loud. This week I joined my friend Katie Miserany and the SurveyMonkey MarCo team for their internal Master Class series, and it was exactly that kind of session. We got into the weeds on building demand engines, structuring teams to avoid credit wars, hiring for creativity over playbook-running, and leaning into AI without fear. My north star hasn't changed: make a decision Monday, see the impact Friday. If you can build a culture where that's possible, everything else follows. At the end of the session, we did a fun rapid-fire series of questions. One of them was: "If you could ask the world one question you’re most curious about right now, what would it be?" My answer was something along the lines of "Hey world, why can't we just be chill?" And because it's SurveyMonkey, they of course followed up with a survey ☺️ -- and the findings hit close to home. More than 4 in 10 Americans are experiencing high stress right now, driven largely by financial pressures and the state of the world.* Turns out, a lot of people are asking the same thing. Grateful to Katie and the SurveyMonkey team for having me — and for reminding me that great marketing starts with genuine curiosity. *Source: SurveyMonkey - Women (47%) are more stressed than men (39%). - Gen Z is significantly less stressed than older generations (38%, vs. 47% of Millennials, 44% of Gen X, and 43% of Boomers). - About a third of Americans cite financial issues (35%) or the news/state of the world (34%) as a leading cause of stress, followed by: • Politics (29%) • Work or career (26%) • Health concerns (18%) • Family or friends (15%) • Artificial intelligence (9%) • Social media (7%)

- Katy Abbaszadeh shared thisBring Glean to where you already work. With the Glean plugin for Cursor, you can stay in your editor and still tap into everything Glean knows about your company — past incidents, RCAs, Jira tickets, Slack threads, docs, owners, and more. Watch Harshi Murthy demo how to use Glean in Cursor, then install the plugin and put it to work on your next debugging session.
- Katy Abbaszadeh shared thisExcited to join Databricks’ Samantha Sawyer and Glean's Weisi Kang to share how we’re rewriting the marketing playbook with AI. In this 30 minute webinar, we’ll dig into what’s real vs. hype, how to move beyond scattered pilots, and the concrete workflows our teams use to scale programs like ABM and move faster all around. - Katy Abbaszadeh shared this69% of organizations cite AI-powered data leaks as their top security concern. As AI agents begin acting across enterprise systems — reading data, orchestrating workflows, and making decisions — security and governance can’t be an afterthought. To help enterprises deploy agents safely, we introduced the AWARE framework: a model for governing agent behavior by focusing on actor intent, work context, autonomous guardrails, real-time risk scoring, and ecosystem observability. Alongside this framework, we also announced new Glean Protect capabilities designed to help enterprises put these principles into practice — including sensitive data detection, restricted topic policies, runtime protections, and stronger guardrails for agent actions. 👉 Access the AWARE framework: https://lnkd.in/gy8aV3Z3 👉 See everything we announced and hear from security experts at the Glean Security Showcase TODAY at 10 am PT: https://lnkd.in/gpU3xqNP
- Katy Abbaszadeh reacted on thisKaty Abbaszadeh reacted on thisI had a blast giving a "Your Best Meeting Ever" keynote at CloudFest yesterday, at the iconic Europa-Park (the "Disneyland of Germany"). Germany's Black Forest—home to some of the world's largest cuckoo clocks —felt like a perfect backdrop for discussing how to reclaim our time from calendar clutter. We dove into the science behind 27-minute meetings, why standing meetings don't just shorten meetings but can tame our territorial instincts, and lots more. As I'm leaving with more ideas than I arrived with (especially around the future of the internet and AI), I've been reflecting on research by Sunkee Lee and Manuel Sosa that found that unconventional environments can boost divergent thinking, but only when what's around you is unrelated to the problem you're solving. Something to try: next time your team needs a creative breakthrough, take them somewhere that looks nothing like the problem you're solving together. A theme park fits the bill, I think! In some ways, with ~15,000 registered attendees, CloudFest feels larger-than-life. But it also feels like a community, with folks coming back year after year. I'm grateful to the inspiring CloudFest team for inviting me to the stage, and for putting on such a fantastic event: Myles McMorrow, Efe von Thenen, Christian Jaeger, Soeren von Varchmin, and many others.

Candybox

Real talk: too many RevOps teams duct-tape their deal workflows. This Flow replaces the tape. The Candybox built a Salesforce Flow that lets reps split, merge, and amend Renewal Opportunities without Apex - and without breaking your data model. Here's what it handles: 👉 Split Opps by product or buying center 👉 Merge regional deals into a single agreement 👉 Trigger expansion Opps from subscription changes 👉 Amend products mid-cycle, with quantity and pricing updates It was built with real scaling teams in mind. The ones juggling bundles, renewals, multi-region coverage, and constant changes. So if you're stuck untangling deal logic with workarounds and spreadsheets, this kind of automation brings structure to the mess. Full breakdown in the comments.

Your Salesforce Marketing Cloud is only as powerful as the data and identity behind it. With Wunderkind Signals directly ingesting SFMC data, brands can: • Identify more anonymous traffic • Strengthen cross-device identity • Improve decisioning with richer behavioral inputs • Improve performance across Journey Builder The result? Incremental revenue without changing how your team builds campaigns. And importantly — Salesforce data is not used to train Wunderkind’s models. It’s used to enhance real-time decisioning and activation for your brand only. Smarter identity. Stronger integration. Measurable lift. Read all about it: https://hubs.la/Q045VyWX0

Too many SaaS teams obsess over winning new deals—and miss the silent killer: churn. Churn doesn’t just shrink revenue. It drags down LTV, spikes CAC, and stalls growth before it compounds. Smart teams treat churn like a pipeline metric: → Measured early → Owned across teams → Fixed with precision If you’re scaling SaaS and churn’s creeping in, this is your playbook: https://lnkd.in/gYtymTbj

Scrappy ABM

Your next great ABM idea probably isn’t hiding in a brainstorm doc. Really, it’s sitting in your inbox. 📬 The best insights come straight from buyers. Set up a shared Slack or Teams channel with Sales, CS, and Support, and drop in every real question, objection, and request you hear. By doing so, you can stop guessing what buyers want to hear and start listening to what they’re already telling you.

"We have a unified profile across five instances of Salesforce, plus Snowflake, including one instance of HubSpot." Dan Bickett at Datasite built what most teams struggle to pull off after an acquisition. Watch how he describes the challenge and why a unified profile was the unlock. The M&A mandate sounds simple: "Integrate our orgs so we can cross-sell." But you're the one translating that into configuration decisions. Do we share account records? Who owns pricing rules? What's the identity model? Get these wrong—or leave them ambiguous—and you'll spend six months rebuilding what you thought was done while the board keeps asking for results. Most org merges fail because teams jump to architecture before locking in the operating rules. We built a decision framework to help you get stakeholder agreement on the rules before you build. If your #Salesforce Data Dictionary lives in a spreadsheet... it's already outdated. And an outdated data dictionary can be just as harmful as not having one at all. 🔴 Creates confusion across teams 🔴 Strategic initiatives (e.g. AI, Analytics) fail 🔴 Erodes trust in your SFDC data & reporting A successful, modern Salesforce data dictionary isn’t a spreadsheet. It’s a living system. We break down what’s changed, and what high-performing teams are doing differently. Check it out 👉 https://lnkd.in/gVZpGD9b

A few months ago I heard someone at a Seattle networking event ask a question about the future of AI and how we're going to sell it. The speaker challenged the audience to apply the same logic to buyer behavior—how are WE adjusting to accommodate the buyer who is better, faster, smarter, stronger because they're using AI as a research tool for your product or service? B2B selling (and marketing) is transforming by the day and it's getting tricky to keep up. This move by Salesforce is a good indicator that it's time to rethink and reshape our selling approach. Stop asking "how am I going to sell AI?" and start asking "how am I using AI to sell?" .... because your audience is 100% using it to know exactly what they want and need. Are you ready for that? #Salesforce #B2Bselling #AI #AIsales #BetterFasterSmarter #B2Bmarketing #AImarketing Coalescence Cloud

A functional GTM OS runs on shared rituals (weekly syncs, daily deal threads), real metrics like NRR and LTV:CAC, and live feedback loops via tools like Gong and Apollo AI. It’s powered by living docs and intentional motions—PLG isn’t the default. In one case, a sales-led motion beat inbound by 30% because self-serve didn’t fit the ICP. In this case study, we break down how Salesforce transformed their ABM strategy by: - Moving from static lists to dynamic prioritisation - Mapping complete buying committees (including hidden influencers) - Eliminating the traditional marketing-sales handoff The results speak for themselves in improved engagement metrics and accelerated sales cycles. CMOs and enterprise marketers: If your ABM program isn't delivering expected results, this transformation story might explain why. “I completely trust the Salesforce data.” said no CFO ever. CFOs aren’t just stewards of the balance sheet anymore. The modern CFO is the connective tissue across revenue channels - responsible for aligning sales, RevOps, and finance in one seamless motion. The problem? Most systems weren’t built for omnichannel reality. When data is siloed, CFOs lose visibility into how pricing, discounting, and billing decisions ripple across the business. The takeaway: CFOs who treat omnichannel as an operating model, not a reporting challenge, set their companies up to scale with agility and discipline. 📖 Here are the key considerations for today’s omnichannel CFO: https://lnkd.in/eXKwTCV6/?utm_medium=paid_social&utm_source=linkedin&utm_campaign=BrandAwareness-Impressions&hsa_acc=509065059&hsa_cam=758622236&hsa_grp=399402046&hsa_ad=892150186&hsa_net=linkedin&hsa_ver=3 #CFO #RevOps #SaaSFinance #QuoteToCash
