I am new-ish to blender and I have a dilemma. I have created the
eyes and mouth of my character using a boolean modifier. Once applied I went on edit mode and manually deleted the faces of the boolean, essentially cutting out the shape of the eyes and mouth. This left me with the outline of these shapes consisting of small edges and a bunch of vertices I don’t need. My next step for my model would be a solidify modifier to add some volume but anytime I try that it distorts it significantly even if I adjust the modifier’s settings.

- $\begingroup$ A Solidify modifier should work just fine with this topology, so there's probably something else going on (e.g., duplicated geometry, zero-width faces, flipped normals, etc.). Are you able to upload your Blend file to blend-exchange.com? $\endgroup$K. A. Buhr– K. A. Buhr2025-11-23 19:29:15 +00:00Commented Nov 23 at 19:29
