After the great kenestar from the seventies, let me introduce you the music the youth of Mali is listening too : Balani. Sorry about the poor quality of the recording and references, I've bought those tracks to a young seller from the street of Bamako.I put, as a sample, a tune of Neba Solo, whom is one of the killer of this kind of music. Enjoy.



Aprés les géants des années 70, un peu de modernité. Le Balani est la musique de la jeunesse malienne actuelle, même si la qualité des enregistrements et des références laisse à désirer, ça vous donnera une assez bonne idée de ce qui se fait dans le genre. Je vous ai mis un sample de Neba Solo, l'un des maîtres du genre...
