Since we don't all have the same people on our friends lists, I'd like to direct your attention to two very different posts.

dolimir_k has a Lyttony contest in her LJ. There are nineteen entries -- including two Sentinel -- some of which are ridiculously funny. Go here to read them, and vote if you're so inclined.
In reference to the Gay Rights meme that was going around the flists a few days ago,caarianna has written a thoughtful, truly excellent analysis of the Gay Rights hoohaw that affects America today, contrasting it with the acceptance shown by Canadian society. You can read her post here.
